At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Villiger Cigars introduced two new sizes of its Villiger 1888 Nicaragua line in the form of a Churchill and Gordo.
Blendwise, the Villiger 1888 Nicaragua features an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and U.S. (Pennsylvania) fillers. The addition of the Churchill (7 x 47, SRP $9.60) and Gordo (6 x 60, SRP $10.00) brings the total number of vitolas up to five. Each is presented in 20-count boxes. Villiger has recently begun shipping the 1888 Nicaragua Churchill and Gordo sizes.
The Villiger 1888 Nicaragua pays homage to the year Villiger Cigars was founded (1888) and was the first new line to come out of the new Villiger de Nicaragua factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, where the cigar is being produced. The Villiger de Nicaragua line made its debut at the 2023 PCA Trade Show.
