E.P. Carrillo has announced that its 2024 Pledge of Allegiance release will also include a second size, a 6 3/4 x 64 Salomon. The new size is shipping to retailers with the current Toro size.
A total of 248 numbered ten-count boxes were produced for this release. The 248 represents the 248th birthday of the United States. The boxes are signed by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo.
Pledge of Allegiance uses a U.S. Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The filler contains two different American tobaccos, Dominican and Nicaraguan tobacco, and an Ecuadorian binder.
Pledge of Allegiance first made its debut in 2023 as a release to coincide with the U.S. Independence Day celebrations. The 2023 release was done in a box-pressed Toro size. At PCA 2024, E.P. Carrillo announced the return of the Toro for 2024 but waited until this week to confirm the Salomon size. The 248-box production of the Pledge of Allegiance Salomon is significantly less than the 2024 Toro, which had 1,500 boxes.
Pricing for the Salomon comes it at $35.00 SRP/cigar.
