Protocol Cigars has announced the Protocol Bass Reeves Maduro Robusto Oklahoma Territory. This is a 5 x 52 Robusto Box-Pressed line extension that will be a limited edition store exclusive to Omertà Cigar Company in Oklahoma City. This is the company’s first time doing a line extension in the Lawmen Series as a store exclusive. The last time a line extension was done in the Lawmen Series was with the Protocol Sir Robert Peel, which was created in a Corona Gorda Vitola in 2021. The Bass Reeves Maduro Robusto makes its debut on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, during the 2nd Annual OKC Boutique Bash.
The Bass Reeves Maduro Robusto Oklahoma Teritory has the same blend as the original Toro release from 2021. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a dark Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. Produced at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, comes in ten-count cellophane bundles. A total of 150 bundles were produced. Pricing comes in at $127.50 or $12.75 per single cigar. The attendees of the 2nd Annual OKC Boutique Bash will get the first opportunity to purchase this limited-edition release, with any remaining stock available to be sold via Omerta Cigar Company’s online arm, Purocigarhouse.com.
Oklahoma Territory was the area Bass Reeves worked as a United States Marshal. This led to this project being called “Oklahoma Territory.”
In a press release, Jarrett Jackson, owner of Omerta Cigar Company and PuroCigarHouse.com said, “We wanted to create something different for our loyal customers. We limited the size to only 150 attendees to keep it more of an intimate occasion. A top-notch dinner with top-of-the-line beverages is provided for the attendees. The biggest selling point is the mix and match. We do not require packs or box buys for deals.” Jarrett added, “The company is excited to team up with Protocol Cigars for this phenomenal release for all our attendees.”
“This cigar did so well we wanted to do something special for the customers here at Omerta, so we did the Bass Reeves Maduro blend in the shop’s number one selling vitola which is the robusto. Hence the birth of the Protocol Bass Reeves Maduro Robusto being an exclusive size for Omerta Cigar Company.” Said Juan Cancel founder and co-owner of Protocol Cigars.
Tickets for the OKC Boutique Bash are $125 and are currently being sold at Purocigarhouse.com.
