General Cigar has announced the fourth annual installment of its Weller by Cohiba Series, the Weller by Cohiba 2024. This year’s edition stands out because it features a USA Broadleaf binder aged in the same barrels as Weller Full Proof bourbon.
The 2024 edition is the first Weller by Cohiba to age tobacco in Weller Full Proof barrels. The 2022 and 2023 editions of Weller by Cohiba featured tobaccos aged in Weller 12 Year bourbon.
In addition to the USA Broadleaf binder aged in Weller Full Proof barrels, the remainder of the blend features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and fillers from Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. Produced at General Cigar Dominicana, Weller by Cohiba 2024 comes in one size – a 6 x 50 Toro. Each cigar is packaged in a blue and gold tube styled after Weller Full Proof Packaging. The tubes come in ten-count boxes, each priced at $29.99 per cigar.
Sean Williams, brand ambassador for Cohiba, said, “Weller by Cohiba has become a staple in the Cohiba lineup and a great example of how the craftsmanship behind cigars and bourbon mirror one another. Going on this journey with a partner as esteemed as Weller Bourbon is a proud moment for Cohiba.”
Weller by Cohiba 2024 is scheduled to ship at the end of September.
