La Aurora USA has announced that the La Aurora 100 Años has a new box design as part of its relaunch in the U.S. market. The new design is now available for the Churchill, Belicoso, and Robusto formats. Additionally, it will be applied to the La Aurora 100 Años Edición Especial. That vitola was named the Cigar of the Decade by Cigar Coop for the 2010s.
Shipping of the new boxes will begin in late February. Initially, 500 boxes of Robusto and Belicoso will be available at U.S. retailers. Later in 2025, an additional 500 boxes of the Churchill format will be released.
Each size is available in 20-count boxes with pricing as follows:
- Robusto: $340.00 SRP
- Edición Especial: $355.00 SRP
- Churchill: $390.00 SRP
- Belicoso: $410.00 SRP
The 100 Años is a Dominican puro highlighted by a Corojo wrapper. On the other hand, the 100 Años Edición Especial features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over all Dominican tobaccos.
“It’s an honor to pay tribute to the cigar that received the award for the best Dominican cigar in the world in 2004, La Aurora 100 Años,” said Johnny Oliva, Creative Lead, La Aurora S.A. “In this box redesign, some iconic elements of the line were considered, such as its emblematic band with the lion with crossed paws atop the hill and the sunrise honoring our name in the background. With this touch of nostalgia, we aimed to highlight the box finish with a high-gloss, luxurious walnut wood style to celebrate this great Dominican product.”
The new packaging will be showcased at the Total Product Expo (TPE) 2025. TPE is scheduled to take place from January 29 to 31, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
