At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Arturo Fuente introduced the Don Carlos 90 Años. It’s a project that Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. made to honor his father, the late Carlos Fuente Sr., who would have been 90 years old this year.
The Don Carlos line typically undergoes a period of aging after rolling for at least a year. Don Carlos is renowned for the Cameroon wrapper it uses. The story with the 90 Años is that Carlito decided to take some of the aging Don Carlos and placed a Corojo wrapper over the Cameroon wrapper. Essentially, that gives the 90 Años a double wrapper. The double-wrapped cigars were then aged for at least another year. 90 Años is being released in a Robusto Extra format.
Fuente is big on numerology, so it’s no surprise the 90 Años comes in a 90-count chest. The price of the 90 Años will be $13.00. The number “13” also holds significant meaning for the Fuente family; it was the favorite number of Carlos Fuente Sr., who was also born on 13th Street. The address of Arturo Fuente’s U.S. headquarters is 1310 N. 22nd Street. Also of note, company founder Arturo Fuente was 85 when he passed away, and the sum of the digits in that age equals 13.
As for the price, Carlito Fuente told Cigar Coop, “I want this unique cigar to be priced so everyone can have the opportunity to smoke it.”
