AVO, one of the iconic brands in the cigar industry, made its return to the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show after being absent since 2019. With Davidoff’s presence at the PCA Trade Show, AVO’s return marked a significant comeback for the brand.
With the exception of Zino, Davidoff focused on limited releases. This included AVO, which had the AVO Syncro 10th Anniversary Limited Edition. The release commemorates ten years of the AVO Syncro brand. AVO released the Syncro Nicaragua back in 2015. It was the first regular production AVO cigar to contain Nicaraguan tobacco, and the first regular production box-pressed Nicaragua.
The Syncro 10th Anniversary is notable for being the first regular production AVO cigar to include Nicaraguan tobacco and the first regularly produced box-pressed cigar from Nicaragua. This special edition features a modified blend that incorporates Nicaraguan tobacco. Additionally, it is distinctive because it is presented in a box-pressed Diademas format.
Next year will be a significant milestone for AVO, as March 22, 2026, will mark the 100th anniversary of the birthday of brand founder Avo Uvezian. Although no details have been announced regarding plans for the celebration, it wouldn’t be surprising if 2026 turns out to be the AVO Centennial.
AVO also introduced its new brand manager, Gabrielle Winchester.
