Lure Cigars is releasing a box-press version of Fish Stix. This smaller cigar is packaged in a portable, resealable package. The cigars were previewed at the 2025 PCA Trade Show.
Fish Stix is a Nicaraguan puro highlighted by a Nicaraguan Habano 2000 wrapper. The binder is from the Estelí region, and the filler includes Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe ligero. The cigar is a box-pressed Rothschild measuring 4 1/4 x 46. Lure Cigars has described Fish Stix as an annual limited release.
Lure developed the concept for Fish Stix last summer while testing blends for the Habano line. The new blend was initially released as a limited edition parejo cigar. Due to high demand, Lure Cigars decided to proceed with a box-pressed version. The shape of the cigar reminded them of frozen fish sticks, which inspired the name Fish Stix.
“The packs are designed for convenience and portability. Each 5-pack of cigars is resealable and the perfect size to toss in your tackle box, center console, or golf bag,” commented Lou Cross, owner of Lure Cigars.
Each of the resealable five-packs comes with Boveda humidification and a limited edition sticker.
Pricing comes in at $8.00 per cigar or $40.00 for the five-pack. Shipping begins the week of 5/23.
