The Tobacconist of Greenwich will be getting an exclusive cigar from Padrón Cigars known as A Hammer & A Dream. The cigar will have an official launch event on June 11, 2025, hosted by Tobacconist of Greenwich. Jorge Padrón, President of Padrón Cigars, will be in attendance.
The story of The Hammer & A Dream holds a significant place in the history of Padrón Cigars. When José Orlando Padrón arrived in Miami from Cuba, a friend who worked at the Cuban Refugee office gifted him a hammer. This simple tool became a symbol of his journey to self-sufficiency. Padrón worked nights as a carpenter, squeezing in time after his daytime job as a gardener. Eventually, he was able to save enough money to establish his own cigar factory, turning his dreams into reality.
The A Hammer & A Dream cigar is offered either as a Maduro or Natural option. A total of 500 ten-count boxes of each wrapper are being made. Pricing is set at $590.00 per ten-count box.
