PCA 2025 Drew Estate / Tour de Liga

At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Drew Estate showcased a blend of traditional and innovative elements. On the conventional front, their brands were on display, and sales orders were being processed as usual. However, the real highlight was the non-traditional aspect: Drew Estate introduced its Tour de Liga event to the PCA. This immersive experience, which had previously taken place in Arizona, takes participants through the intricate cigar-making process and includes tobacco tastings paired with various selections. Retailers enjoyed this hands-on experience while also placing their orders. The invitation extended to cigar media was an exciting addition, a chance our team eagerly seized. Not only did we gain valuable insights along the way, but we also got a firsthand feel for the experience retailers had, which truly captured the unique atmosphere of the Drew Estate booth.

Tour de Liga

PCA 2025 Drew Estate

Ultimately, we covered the whole Tour de Liga for you in our video/audio coverage.  Tour de Liga took place on the upper part of Drew Estate’s split-level booth. There were three stations that each focused on a different Liga Privada brand. Each had a different host. The three stations were:

  • Liga Privada No 9: Izola Woods (Lifestyle Ambassador)
  • Liga Privada T52: Pedro Gomez (Factory Spokesperson)
  • Liga Privada H99: Willy Herrera (Master Blender)

Each station covered the history and blending of each of these lines. One of the more interesting parts was smoking puritos of the tobacco leaves used as wrappers for each blend.

Deadwood Dominicana

Drew Estate was once well-known for launching a wide array of products across its various brands. However, since its return to the PCA Trade Show in 2024, the company has shifted its focus toward a more streamlined approach, releasing only a handful of new items. Among its latest offerings, Drew Estate introduced a new cigar to one of its most beloved brands, Deadwood Tobacco.

Just before PCA 2025, Drew Estate revealed its eighth Freestyle Live mystery cigar, the Deadwood Dominicana. Freestyle Live is a program where Drew Estate offered un-banded pre-release cigars and matching swag for an upcoming release.  The idea is to build attention around the new cigar before its release.

Drew Estate indicated it would be the first foray into a Dominican-centric filler blend. The cigar features a Connecticut Shade wrapper over a San Andres binder. On the reveal for Dominicana, Drew Estate revealed the key tobacco is Dominican Criollo ’98 grown in La Canela by José Mendez & Co. Dominicana is available in four sizes: Toro (6 x 50), Robusto (5 x 50, Pequeña (4 x 38), and Gordo (6 x 60). Each size is presented in 10-count boxes except Pequeña, which comes in 20-count boxes. Pricing comes in between $6.50 and $13.50. The cigars have currently been shipped.

Drew Estate worked with S.T. Dupont to create the Liga Privada ST Dupont Collection. Liga Privada has always been the most premium line of Drew Estate, but Drew Estate has not priced anything in the luxury (high-priced) space. With this collaboration with S.T. Dupont, Drew Estate has a three-piece collection priced as a unit at $3,599.

The set includes (the cigars on display from the show are not included)
