The Plasencias earn their first top ten cigar on a Cigar Coop as a brand with the Plasencia Alma Fuerte Colorado Claro Eduardo I. This uses a lighter wrapper than the original Alma Fuerte. The size pays homage to Plasencia patriarch, Eduardo Plasencia.

Following the enormous success of the original Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua, Rafael Nodal and A.J. Fernandez compose a Sonata to follow it up. That Sonata is made of tobacco leaves and its the blend that lands at #12 on the Countdown.
The #13 Cigar of the Year is the Micallef Black Toro. It’s the second time in four years Micallef lands on the Countdown. Micallef Black is a cigar on the full side in terms of strength and body.
The HVC Selección No. 1 Natural Poderosos follows up the HVC Selección No. Maduro. The Maduro was HVC’s first cigar out of its own factory. While the Maduro was first, it’s the Natural that earned the #14 spot on the Countdown.
Our #15 Cigar of the Year is the newest offering from E.P. Carrillo’s big ring line, INCH. The catch is this cigar isn’t being produced at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua.
