Your rights are being threatened big time in Santa Clara, California. I’ve pulled this from the Cigar Rights of America web-site:
The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors has advanced a proposal (advocated by Board President Ken Yeager) that would ban smoking in all apartments, condominiums, townhouses, and common areas within such housing. It would also ban smoking at outdoor seating areas for bars and restaurants, as well as in all county parks, fairgrounds, along with all hotel rooms. Additionally, it would also ban smoking in all retail establishments that sell tobacco products – even premium cigar shops.
-So pretty much, you can purchase and own a tobacco product, but basically unless you have a private residence that is stand-alone, you cannot enjoy it.
Folks, this scares the CRAP out of me. And if Santa Clara does this, other local Pleasure Police groups might follow-suit.
