#15 E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2010

It is hard to believe we have completed half of T30 Cigars in 31 Days” – my review of the Top 30 Cigars for 2010.  It is now time to get to the cream of the crop – the Top 15

Slotting in at #15 is E.P. Carrillo’s Short Run 2010. This is a cigar by former La Gloria Cubana master, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr.   The Short Run series is meant to be produced in a limited batch on a yearly basis.   This is the 2010 edition.

The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.  The flavor profile contains the complexity one comes to expect from a Carrillo stick – nuts, pepper, oak-like wood notes, and even some sweetness that seemed to be on the cinnamon side.  The draw and burn were flawless each time I had this stick.   Overall, a nice medium to full cigar in both strength and body.

I will post a more detailed review in the near future.
