E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2011 |
2011 has seen already four releases from E.P. Carrillo. At the 2011 IPCPR, I managed to get a preview of the new 2011 Edicion Limitada 2011.
The Limitada 2011 is the follow-up to the highly success E.P. Carrillo Edicion Limitada 2010 – a cigar that made Cigar Aficionado’s top ten for 2010 and was eventually incorporated into E.P. Carrillo’s Elencos line.
The cigar is expected to be a full-bodied cigar. Like 2010, there will be single vitola, but this vitola (called the “Dark Rituals”) is going be larger – 6 1/2 x 56.
As for the blend, here is a summary. In March, Cigar Dave talked about an early prototype blend of this cigar. There have been some changes. The final wrapper origin was not officially released and I’m respecting to keep it that way. I recommend leaving it to the imagination.
Wrapper: Oscuro Maduro
Binder: Ecuadorian Sumatra
Filler: Nicaraguan
Note: I believe the term “Oscuro” is referring to “dark wrapper” as opposed to process.
Stay tuned as I will have more information on this cigar upcoming as I sample it.
