Earlier this year, one of the most exciting pieces of news to break in the cigar industry was the launch of Crowned Heads by former CAO Director of Lifestyle Marketing Jon Huber. It’s been a little quiet in terms of what would be the first release of product from this company. This morning (August 4th), Cigar Aficionado broke an exclusive story that the first release from Crowned Heads will be called “Four Kicks” and it will be blended by none other than Ernesto Perez-Carrillo.
While you can read the story directly on Cigar Aficionado by clicking here, these are some of the particulars we do know as per the article:
1.The targeted time-frame for the cigar is November
2.This is the first cigar Carrillo is making for another company
3.The name was inspired from the band Kings of Leon. If you have followed Huber on Twitter, you know he is a fan of this local Nashville band.
Here are the particulars of the blend:
Blend Profile
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Vitolas Available
Corona Gorda: 5 5/8 x 46
Robusto: 5 x 50
Sublime: 6 x 54
Piramide: 6 1/8 x 52
The cigars will be sold in boxes of 24. The suggested retail price is around $6.95 to $8.65. The key thing is the wrapping process will utilize the entubar style – this is what is seen on the Berger and Argenti Entubar.
