S.A.G. Imports is launching a new cigar under the Fonseca line called the Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo.  This cigar will be previewed at the 2013 ProCigar Festival in the Dominican Republic. First details of this story were reported by Cigar Aficionado.

The Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo will be a box-pressed cigar.  It is intended to be fuller-bodied cigar – which for the most part is a departure from most of the Fonseca brand which tends to be more milder in terms of body.

According to the article, the Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo will feature the trademark Fonseca band and a secondary band indicating the Exclusivo name.

While the Fonseca line is known for its milder cigars, there have been more fuller strength and fuller-bodied offerings.  In 2008, the company made a cigar for the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) called the Fonseca Signature Series.  In 2011, the company launched the limited edition Fonseca CXX Anni.  Both of these offerings were both fuller in strength and body.

Plans are for the Fonseca Cubano Exclusivo to be launched in April.
