The CAO Hurrricane Limited Edition 2013, a long-awaited release has begun to surface at retailers around the country. The cigar will be a limited production release. Much like many of the limited releases done by General Cigar Company over the past year, this cigar has undergone a quiet launch.
The CAO Hurricane was the “winning blend” of CAO’s Last Standing Contest that was conducted in 2012. Cigar enthusiasts would be given an opportunity to smoke three distinct blends “C”, “A”, and“O” and vote for their favorite. The “O” blend turned out to be the winner declared by the voting. It was reported by the Stogie Guys that this blend would be tweaked and would become the CAO Hurricane.
Top Quality Cigars, an online arm of Chicago-based retailer Casa de Montecristo reported some information about the release on their web-site. They are also reporting the Hurricane was indeed based on the “O” blend. What might come as surprise is the Hurricane is being reported as limited production run with only 3,000 boxes of ten being made. The following information was also reported from their web-site.
