For the past few weeks, we have been following a story of a cigar being launched by L’Atelier Imports at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show called “Extension de la Racine”.   This is a cigar that is going to offered to only those retailers that place an order in person at the trade show being held in mid-July in Las Vegas.   Last week, Cigar Aficionado reported the blend components.

While the line is being called L’Atelier Extension de la Racine, the official vitola name is being called ER13.  The name “Extension de la Racine” translates to “extension of the root”.   The blend is an off-shoot of the core L’Atelier line.   It incorporates the Sancti Spirtus tobacco – something that is a staple on all L’Atelier Import cigars under the core L’Atelier name.  Sancti Spiritus is a hybrid of Criollo and Pelo de Oro and was designed as a replacement seed for Pelo de Oro.In addition, the company is expected to showcase the recently released L’Atelier Maduro as well as soon to be released Surrogates Animal Cracker.
