Torano Reserva Selecta |
As we noted a few weeks ago, Torano Family Cigars is re-packaging their Reserva Select line. In addition, the company is adding a fifth vitola, a 6 x 60. These changes were launched at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas.
The packaging changes involved eliminating the glass tubes. In a discussion we had with Jack Torano, Director of Marketing at Torano said, “we’ve been getting a lot of people talk about how the new cigar smoker likes to touch, feel, and smell the cigar and that glass tube, it became almost a novelty. So we rebranded, repackaged it, taken it out of the glass tube, and brought the price point down 30%“.
The rebranding takes moves the Reserva Select from the company’s old Carlos Torano packaging to the new Torano Family Cigars branding. The packaging now includes a more traditional wooden box.
The blend remains the same as well as the vitolas offerings, with the exception of the new 6 x 60 vitola. At a glance, here is a summary of the Torano Reserva Selecta.
