The Rocky Patel Edicion Unica is returning for second production run.  it was a few weeks ago, we noted a report from CigarNews.com in which Rocky Patel Premium Cigars talked about their upcoming releases for the 2013 IPCPR.  It was mentioned that the Edicion Unica would be back for another run.  At the 2013 IPCPR, the Edicion Unica was indeed showcased. The cigar itself will feature the same blend and size, but will have a banding change.

The first Rocky Patel Edicion Unica was introduced late in 2011.  The cigar is said to be the winning blend from the 2011 Humo Jaguar Honduran Cigar Festival.  A limited production run of 500 boxes of 100 cigars were produced.

For the 2013 production run, there will be a 1000 boxes of 100 produced.  The cigar will feature turquoise/aqua colored bands as opposed to the ivory colored bands found on the 2011 run.  This could be to avoid confusion with the Rocky Patel Decade which also uses ivory colored bands.

The Rocky Patel Edicion Unica will be returning in
2013, but this time with turquoise/aqua colored band

Like the 2011, the boxes and bands will feature the date May 28, 2011 – which is believed to be the date of the festival where the blend won.
