The Cigar Week Wrap is a one stop place to catch up on the activity here at Cigar Coop. It is a combination of our news reports, cigar reviews, and assessment updates we do throughout the week. We will throw in a few bonus items from time to time as well. Our intent is to publish once a week on Saturday mornings. Note: We have decided to label our posts as “Volume 2” to be consistent with the monthly “Editor’s Corner”.

This is not meant to be a complete list, but more of a recap of whatever we covered this past week. We also did many updates to our pre-IPCPR coverage. Refer to our IPCPR Digest for complete info. We also have a brief recap on our August 2013 Editor’s Corner.
- Capadura Cigars: We visited this company at IPCPR and learned some more about their company and cigars.
- Edgar Hoill Cigars: We previewed the re-launch of the One Shot One Kill line under Fabricas Unidas.
- Illusione: A tenth vitola in the Epernay line is coming – the Illusione Epernay Le Voyage
- Kings Cigars: This new company debuted at IPCPR. We previewed the company and their line of cigars.
- Legacy Brands: We covered a feature story on the latest happenings around Victor Vitale’s company – this includes the Armand Assante Ora Vivo project.
- XIKAR: We covered a feature story on the new offerings from XIKAR launched at the trade show.
Other News
- Crowned Heads: We noted a blog post from Jon Huber that made reference to unnamed limited and core line releases over the next twelve months.
- Fabricas Unidas: The company announced a Cigar Box Recycling Program.
- Gran Habano: George Rico’s G.R. Tabacaleras officially announces the G.A.R. Deli concept.
- Miami Cigar and Company: Will be releasing a limited production Nestor Miranda Special Selection Exclusivo Regional. This will also be a regional release targeted for the midwest U.S.
- My Father Cigars: We previewed the Flor de Las Antillas DeSocio – which will be exclusively distributed by Alliance Cigar.
Legislative News
- FDA: Congress is in recess. HR 792 –remains at a total 116 co-sponsors (117 total sponsors). The FDA is also looking at regulating the sales of electronic cigarettes including a ban on online sales.
