It appears that boutique cigar manufacturers are getting their own association.  Gary Griffith, owner of Emilio Cigars posted on his company’s blog that the formation of such as group is in the works – the American Boutique Cigar Manufacturers Association.

The group identifies its mission as demonstrating to elected representatives that member companies are American small business.

The concept appeared to take hold at last week’s DC Tweet-Up.  According to Griffith, a more formal announcement is pending in upcoming weeks and the group is still in an inception phase.

The following companies have been identified as being on board:

262 Cigars
Bodega Premium Blends
Cabal Cigars
Cremo Cigars
Dissident Cigars
El Cedro Cigars
Elogio Cigars
Emilio Cigars
Epicurean Cigars
Espinosa Cigars
Ezra Zion Cigar Company
Fratello Cigars
Global Premium Cigars (1502 Cigars)
Leccia Tobacco
Nomad Cigar Company
Primer Mundo Cigars
Ortega Premium Cigars
Rodrigo Cigars
Viva Republica

The announcement is the second new association to hit the cigar industry in as many weeks. Last week, the establishment of the Cigar Media Association was made.
