La Colonia Cigars has announced the launch of its inaugural line of cigars. The La Colonia Miami line is a collaborative effort between La Colonia Cigars and the famed Casa Fernandez/Tabacalera Tropicale factory in Miami, Florida. The La Colonia name is a reprise of an old Cuban brand from the 19th century, with the “Flor de Aganorsa” paying homage to Eduardo Fernadez’ Aganorsa fincas. La Colonia Miami is intended to be a throwback to the Cuban cigars of yesteryear, emphasizing flavor and aroma with strength as a by-product, leveraging beautiful Jalapa sweetness over heavy Esteli spice, showcasing the nuances of what Nicaraguan Aganorsa tobacco is known for.
The La Colonia Miami is a Nicaraguan puro, comprised of 5 to 7 year aged leaf of the highest grade from the famed farms of Aganorsa. La Colonia Miami was blended with the Cuban Master, Arsenio Ramos, and Casa Fernandez President, Paul Palmer-Fernandez. The cigar line is rolled by Casa Fernandez/Tabacalera Tropicale’s highest level torcedores.
The La Colonia Miami line is available in four sizes: Corona (5 x 44) $8.95 MSRP, Robusto Extra (5 1/2 x 50) $9.50 MSRP, Toro (6 x 52) $10.50 MSRP, and Torpedo (6 1/8 x 52) $10.95 MSRP.
All four sizes of La Colonia Miami are packaged in Cuban-style cabinet boxes of 20. The cigars come packaged uncellophaned and a feature a wax wrapping and ribbon.
