El Primer Mundo is bringing the Liga Miami back to the market. The cigar which was a collaboration between owner Sean Williams and Willy Herrera is coming back for a limited run. It will be making an exclusive first stop at R&R Cigars in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The retailer will be the recipients of the Robusto and Toro sizes, but will also be the exclusive recipient of the first ever Torpedo size in the blend.
Liga Miami was the first cigar in El Primer Mundo’s Little Havana series, a series of blends rolled at El Titan de Bronze in Little Havana. Once again, the factory on Calle Ocho will roll the cigar.
Owner Sean Williams explained to us the how the project made its return: “I’ve been kicking around doing some super limited runs out of El Titan de Bronze and I’m always getting asked to put out Liga Miami again. I wanted it to be something really special so I sent an email a few weeks ago to my key shops around the country letting them know that I would be making them on a limited basis according to their requests. It’s sort of custom order and R&R was the first to nail it down with me. They’ll actually have Liga Miami in Torpedos, which I’ve never made before so it’ll be pretty cool.”
Liga Miami features an Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper, a double binder from Nicaragua, and a fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. The torpedo will be in a 6 1/2 x 52 joining the 5 x 52 robusto, and 6 x 52 toro.
When asked about Liga Miami making a return to his shop, R&R Cigars Owner Reagan Starner told us, “Im really happy to be working with Sean to bring Liga Miami back. Liga Miami was always one of my favorite cigars and I can’t think of a better place than R&R for its reintroduction to the cigar industry. The torpedo is one of my favorite sizes and I can’t wait for yall to see how incredible it is. Sean is one of the finest cigar makers and this cigar is going to be special.”
The Liga Miami will be packaged in 20 count boxes. Pricing will be $13.50 for the Robusto, $14.50 for the Toro, and $15.00 for the Torpedo. The allocation will be fifty boxes and pre-orders are being accepted by calling R&R at (205) 722-2741.
