Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary |
For the second consecutive year in a row, Nat Sherman will release a limited edition cigar. This one will commemorate the brand’s 85th anniversary and will be appropriately titled the Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary. Plans are for the cigar to make its way to retailers later this Spring.
Once again, the Sherman family turns to long-time manufacturing partner, the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic to make this product. The cigar itself will feature a Dominican wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. It will be released in a single size, a 6 1/2 x 54 vitola. A total of 2,500 boxes of ten will be produced. Pricing for boxes will be $190.00 The cigar is described as delivering “full-bodied, yet balanced flavor.”
The art work on the cigar box and band featue an art deco styled design that was inspired by the facade and lobby of the original Nat Sherman store located at 1400 Broadway in New York City.
“Without the support, love and commitment of our devoted staff and faithful customers, we would not be celebrating such an incredible milestone,” said Joel Sherman, President & CEO of Nat Sherman in a press release. “As we look towards our Company’s bright future, I’m incredibly honored and privileged to see my father’s vision realized. It is with an overwhelming sense of pride that we witness Nat Sherman celebrated not only within the tobacco industry, but as a treasured part of New York City’s past and present.”

This is the second consecutive year a limited edition cigar by Nat Sherman has commemorated a milestone. Last year, the Joel Sherman 75th Celebration commemorated CEO Joel Sherman’s 75th birthday. That cigar went on to be the Cigar Coop Cigar of the Year for 2014. The Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary represents a different blend and a different size.
