Casa Fernandez will release a third size to its JFR Lunatic line. The JFR Lunatic Jackhammer will be launched at the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show in New Orleans. This will introduce a massive 8 x 60 vitola into the line.

The JFR Lunatic made its debut earlier this year and is a line geared for large, ring gauged cigars. This includes the JFR Lunatic Mambo (an 8 x 80 Belicoso) and the JFR Lunatic El Chiquito (4 3/4 x 70).

According to Casa Fernandez, the Jackhammer has an adapted blend of the JFR Lunatic. It features a San Andres Marron wrapper and features a blend of Casa Fernandez’s signature Aganorsa tobacco for the fillers. The blend is amped up with Estei and Ligero fillers but also features Corojo 99 for counterbalancing sweet notes. Casa Fernandez describes the cigar’s strength profile as “Full to Extra Filler”.

The JFR Lunatic Jackhammer features the line’s black and purple ring. It is packaged in 35 count boxes with a price point of $8.60 per cigar.

JFR stands for “Just for Retailers” and has been positioned as a brand primarily geared for brick and mortar shops.
