My Father Cigars will introduce a new offering in its El Centurion line. The My Father El Centurion H-2K-CT will introduce a all new blend under the El Centurion umbrella. This cigar will be unique as it will feature a sun-grown hybrid wrapper from Connecticut. The cigar will be launched at the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show in New Orleans. Information on this cigar was recently released to Cigar Aficionado.
El Centurion first made an appearance in 2007 with a limited edition release. In 2013, the brand made a return, but this time with an all new blend as a regular production release. Cigar Aficionado reports the El Centurion H-2K-CT will also be a regular production offering. At this time, the H-2K-CT will be released in two box-press vitolas.
The Connecticut Hybrid wrapper is what is considered different. This sun grown wrapper is not a Connecticut Shade nor is it a Connecticut Broadleaf. The Hybrid seed is a Cuban seed varietal.

Seems a bit like the San Cristobal Revelation, this stick lacks balls

I smoked this last week after my local cigar shop received a complete Don Pepin line re-stock. I must say it definitely strays from the normal “In your Face” flavor bomb that most DP cigars possess mixed with that pepper tingle. It also doesn’t come close to the original “Full-bodied” El Centurian blend. However it is quite a different blend that absolutely leaves you contemplating buying a second cigar in order to experience the complexity of the flavors again. Not your traditional DP Pepper in your face but a great cigar in its own little world.
