While Maya Selva Cigars has been establishing its footprint in the U.S. market over the past few years, the company itself has been in existence since 1995. Earlier this year, Maya Selva Cigars announced plans for a special limited edition commemorative 20th anniversary cigar. At the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show, the company showcased this long awaited cigar – the Flor de Selva No. 20 Limited Edition Lancero.
The Flor de Selva No. 20 is a Honduran puro that features a different wrapper than has been used on the Flor de Selva line before – a Habano wrapper from Jamastran. The cigar itself is a traditional 7 x 38 lancero size. The cigars are packaged in ten count boxes. Production is being limited to 500 ten count boxes for a total of 5,000 cigars.
In addition to the No. 20 Lancero, the company has unveiled Toro-sized line extensions to the Flor de Selva Connecticut and Maduro lines. The company has also unveiled new packaging for its regular production Flor de Selva and Cumpay lines.
