Cornelius & Anthony, the premium cigar division owned of S & M Brands has announced a new release known as Cornelius. S & M Brands is owned by the Steven Bailey family whose family has over 150 years experience in the cigar business. Cornelius pays homage to Cornelius Bailey, Steven Bailey’s great great grandfather. Cornelius first ran the family’s tobacco business when it was established in 1866.
Cornelius is being produced at El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Little Havana section under the watchful eye of Sandra Cobas.
S & M Brands is based in Virginia and has been focused around cigarettes, machine-made cigars, and electronic tobacco products. When it launched Cornelius & Anthony, it added a hand-made premium cigar division to the portfolio. The company had a soft-launch of a limited production cigar called Avant Garde. At the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show, Cornelius & Anthony showcased a cigar called Meridian. Meridian is a cigar that was going to be produced in the Dominican Republic, but it never made it to market. According to a report by Cigar Aficionado, Meridian is being re-blended and re-packaged with plans to unveil it this summer.
