The Crowned Heads Black Buckle line, a shop exclusive cigar to Easton, Pennsylvania-based Famous Cigar Shop will be receiving two new vitolas. The retailer announced that the line will receive the 6 x 54 Sublime and 5 x 50 Robusto sizes. The two new sizes join the current 5 5/8 x 46 Corona Gorda currently offered.
The Black Belt Buckle uses the same Nicaraguan binder and filler that was found on the original Four Kicks, but replaces the Habano Ecuador wrapper with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. The new vitolas will be limited to a production of 500 boxes for each size. The original Corona Gorda had a total production of 1,000 boxes. The cigar is produced at Ernesto Perez Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic.
“The success of the Corona Gorda has definitely proven that Jon (Huber) and Ernesto (Perez-Carrill) were on to something,” said Jim Charnley, Famous Smoke Shop Sr. Project manager in a press release. “I see the Black Belt Buckle Sublime and Robusto taking the brand to the next level of consumer awareness and expect sales to be even higher, now that cigar smokers will have all three sizes available to them.”
