At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas, Black Label Trading Company (BLTC) will showcase a new blend called Bishops Blend. The cigar will be a small batch release that is highlighted by a blend that incorporates both Connecticut and Pennsylvania Broadleaf in the fillers.  Plans are for Bishops Blend to ship to retailers at the end of July, 2016.

In addition to the Pennsylvania and Connecticut Broadleaf, the filler of Bishops Blend also includes some Nicaraguan leaf. The cigar also uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and finished with a Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper. Bishops Blend is being produced out of Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.

“The Bishops Blend has been a long time in the making, and I’m very excited for its release. I took a very different approach by using Pennsylvania and Connecticut Broadleaf in the filler. The end result is a very rich and intense flavor profile that highlights the Broadleaf but doesn’t overpower the Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Bishops Blend has a great balance between richness, spice and strength. As with all the BLTC limited releases, it is a unique smoking experience,” said James Brown in a press release.

Perhaps most interesting is the black and red bandng, a noted change from the black and white banding seen throughout the other BLTC releases.

The BLTC Bishops Blend joins Black Works Studio Killer Bee Green Hornet as releases coming from the Fabrica Oveja Negra for the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show.
