La Flor Dominicana is adding a second size for its popular La Nox blend. At the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show, the company showcased the new La Flor Dominicana La Nox Petite.
The La Nox Petite is a 5 x 40 offering based on the original La Nox blend which consists of a Brazilian Cubra Maduro wrapper, San Andres binder, and Dominican fillers. The cigars are packaged in five boxes. There is a half-moon display unit that holds five of the five packs. Each cigar has an SRP of $7.50.
La Nox made its debut at the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show in one size – a 6 1/2 x 50 Toro. The cigar was a project spearheaded by Tony Gomez, the son of La Flor Dominicana founder Litto Gomez.
According to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jonathan Carney, when the 6 1/2 x 50 La Nox is made, there is still some additional wrapper leaf that remains after the leaf is cut. This wrapper leaf makes it conducive to use for a smaller size.
La Flor Dominicana Vice President of Sales Jonathan Carney said the smaller size builds a more intense flavor profile.
