For the fourth consecutive year, La Flor Dominicana is releasing a “Special Football Edition” Cigar to commemorate “The Big Fame”. As in the past, the cigar will be a regional release to the home state hosting the NFL’s championship game. The La Flor Dominicana Special Football Edition 2018 edition, it will be a regional release to the state of Minnesota.
The La Flor Dominicana Special Football Edition 2018 is a variation of the 2017 version. It is a 6 1/2 x 60 artesian-style figurado. It features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican binder and filler. Like its predecessors, the La Flor Dominicana Special Football Edition 2017 features a cut off design of a football made out of a Connecticut Shade wrapper. There are additional accents on the cigar. It features a Connecticut Shade torpedo cap and Connecticut Shade trim around the footer.
Two changes between the 2017 and 2018 editions are: 1) the 2018 edition does not feature the angled footer of the 2017 edition; and 2) there is an extra Connecticut Shade ring just below the torpedo tip.
