AVO Cigars has released its annual limited edition cigar. This one will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the brand and once again fall under the brand’s Improvisation line. The cigar is appropriately titled AVO 30 Years Improvisation.
The cigar is the sixth release under the AVO Improvisation Series. The concept behind this series is to draw inspirations from previous AVO releases to create a whole new cigar. The concept is similar to the relationship of a cover song to an original song. In the case of the AVO 30 Years Inspiration, the famed AVO Classic No. 3 was used as the basis for the blend.
The cigar itself is a 7 1/2 x 50 Double Corona (like the AVO Classic No. 3). It features an Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican binders and filler.
The cigars are packaged in 25-count white and orange boxes. The boxes simulate the texture found on Avo Uvezian’s signature hat and linen suits. There are 25 cigars per box. Each cigar has an SRP of $16.00. A total of 2,400 boxes have been produced.
The release of the AVO 30 Years Improvisation is part of a year-long rollout of special releases to commemorate 30 years of the AVO brand. The AVO 30 Years Improvisation is the only new release under the anniversary rollout as the other releases in the series are either returns of old favorites and/or packaging changes. The AVO 30 Years Improvisation will be adorned with a special 30 Years secondary band – something that will be found on all of the cigars released in the 30 Year series.
