Cavalier Genève has announced it has formed Cavalier Premium Cigars USA LLC. The new company will handle U.S. distribution for Cavalier Genève products. The operations will be personally run by Cavalier Genève brand owner Sébastien Decoppet. Because of the transition, the company has opted to skip this year’s IPCPR Trade Show.

Distribution had been previously handled by Cigar Art Brands. Marco Vavazos of Cigar Art Brands will stay with the company as Director of Operations during the transition.

The move comes after a period of what the company describes as global backorder.

“This will be a positive move for Cavalier Genève,” said Cavazos in a press release, “the most notable change will be the ability to stock significant inventory in the US warehouse. This should alleviate the US backorder issues.”

Cavalier Genève maintains there is still a positive working relationship with Cigar Art Brands. As a part of the transition, Cigar Art Brands’ La Bella Otero and Singer & Monk lines will be moved under the Cavalier Premium Cigars USA LLC portfolio.

While the restructuring is preventing Cavalier Genève from attending the 2018 IPCPR Show, the company has plans to attend the 2019 show. It will offer specials to its existing accounts once the transition is complete.

“I am looking forward to spending more time with our US accounts and consumers,” commented Sébastien Decoppet, “this is a really exciting time for my company.”

Cavalier Genève was previously distributed by Dallas based Cigar Art Brands. The two companies will continue a positive working relationship. Distribution of Cigar Art Brands’ La Bella Otero and Singer & Monk lines will be moved under the Cavalier Premium Cigars USA LLC portfolio.
