At the 2018 IPCPR Trade Show, Island Lifestyle Importers LLC will put its Island Club line of cigars into national distribution. It’s a line that brings a mild to medium strength, value-priced cigar offering into the Island Lifestyle Importers portfolio.
Island Club consists of an Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. The cigars are produced at an undisclosed boutique factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Island Club is available in five sizes (Robusto, Corona Gorda, Toro, Torpedo, and Churchill). The cigars are priced in 20-count bundles and have a suggested retail price in the $3.95 to $4.75 range.
“While many Connecticut cigars have a grassy or bitter taste, these Island Club cigars have notable flavors of light spice, leather and tea. This is an impressive cigar for any celebration or special occasion but the price point makes them perfect to enjoy while golfing, fishing, hunting or just relaxing with friends.” said Ryan Frailing, Vice President of Island Lifestyle in a press release. “From a value proposition they are competing with cigars that are more than twice the price. We believe they are the perfect addition to our lineup of cigars.”
Island Lifestyle Importers is the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of Tommy Bahama branded accessories. The company also produces a premium cigar brand known as Island Lifestyle Aged Reserve. The new Island Club cigars will be showcased at both the Tommy Bahama/Island Lifestyle Cigars booth and the Phillips and King booth at IPCPR. Last week, Island Lifestyle Importers announced that distribution of its products would be handled by Ventura Cigar Company and Phillips and King, both of which are wholly owned subsidiaries of Kretek International.
