At the 2019 IPCPR Trade Show, Micallef Cigars added a third size to its Migdalia line with a Corona Extra.
The Micallef Migdalia features four-year-old aged tobaccos highlighted by a San Andres Habano wrapper, Sumatra binder, and a mix of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. After rolling, the cigars are aged for an additional year. The new Corona Extra measures 6 x 46 and is presented in 24-count boxes.
Migdalia is named for the creator of the blend, Migdalia Sanchez. Migdalia is a second-generation member of the Gomez-Sanchez family who produces Micallef Cigars. She was born in 1947 and has been involved in the tobacco industry since graduating from the School of Tobacconist in Havana, Cuba at age 17.
