H. Upmann continues to be one of the more active brands in the Altadis USA portfolio. This week Altadis USA announced its latest installment to the line – the H. Upmann 1844 Añejo.
The H. Upmann 1844 Añejo was blended by Ernesto Kranwinkel from Tabacalera USA in conjunction with the Grupo de Maestros at the Flor de Copan factory in Honduras. The cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Pennsylvania Broadleaf binder, and fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic.
The cigar comes in three sizes: Robusto (50 x 5), Toro (54 x 6), and Magnum (60 x 6). Each size is presented in 25-count boxes and pricing is set between $7.10 to $8.10 per cigar.
“Anchored by a sweet Broadleaf binder and wrapped in a dark, double-fermented wrapper, this cigar offers a deep aroma with a bold finish,” said Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability, Tabacalera USA in a press release.
The H. Upmann 1844 Añejo features a packaging design consistent with packaging changes made to the 1844 Reserve and the popular 1844 Vintage Cameroon lines.
