Last year Fratello Cigars released a sampler called the Fratello Space Pack that contained two unreleased blends in a 6 x 50 format. The intent was to get market research on whether either of these blends should be brought to market. Today Fratello announced that one of the blends, Arlequín, will now be released in two box-pressed sizes and will be known as the Fratello Arlequín Prensado.
The Arlequín Prensado is described as the “same blend, new look.” It consists of a San Andres Mexican wrapper, Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers from Peru and Nicaragua. Instead of being released in the 6 x 50 format that was found in the Space Pack, it will be released in a 5 1/2 x 52 Robusto and a 6 1/2 x 54 Toro. Each will be presented in 20-count boxes. Pricing is set at $9.50 for the Robusto and $10.50 the Toro.
“We had an overwhelming response to our market research. We had people from all over the world submitting their preferred smoke. I was so impressed with the data, as different countries and demographics would favor one blend over the other,” said de Omar de Frias, founder of Fratello Cigars in a press release.
The cigars are scheduled to ship in September 2020.
