This past weekend Drew Estate launched an exclusive cigar for Hawaiian retailers known as the Herrera Esteli Ho’ala Tienda Exclusiva. The cigar was launched on a virtual event hosted by Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera on September 26th.
The Herrera Esteli Ho’ala Tienda Exclusiva comes in one size – a 4 7/8 x 46 petite corona. The blend features a toothy Mexican San Andres wrapper over undisclosed binder and filler leaves. The cigars are packaged in 10-count softpcks priced at $95.00.
The project was inspired from a trip that Herrera took to Maui watching the sun rise over the clouds on top of Halekala Craater. The name Ho’ala translates to “Rise Up” and its a name given to match the stronger profile of this cigar in a vitola that is a perfect morning smoke to rise up and greet the sun.
In a press release, Herrera commented, “Every year I make a journey to Hawaii to find peace and inspiration. Watching the sun rise on top of Haleakala Crater made me crave a bolder blend in a size I can light up to rise up and meet the day. I immediately set to work at La Gran Fabrica and selected a unique blend that is unlike the rest of the Herrera line. You need to experience this petite corona.”
The Herrera Esteli Ho’ala Tienda Exclusiva will also be available in store at the following locations:
- Tamura’s Fine Wine
- R. Field Wine
- Fujiokas Wine Times
