Scandinavian Tobacco Group is set to roll out “Crucible,” the third and final release of the Diesel Elixir Trilogy limited edition series following 2019’s Diesel Hair of the Dog and 2020’s Diesel Delirium releases which both sold out within weeks of their launch dates in 2019 and 2020. Like the original Diesel Crucible, this 2021 release will be a limited edition cigar. Diesel Crucible was originally a limited edition through Cigars International.
The Diesel Crucible is a blend developed by AJ Fernandez with Justin Andrews. It features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 x 52 Toro packaged in rustic, ten-count two-compartment boxes. A total of 3,000 boxes were produced. Pricing is set at $9.99 SRP per cigar.
“Diesel Crucible concludes the Elixir trilogy on a high note. It’s definitely a full-bodied smoke, and definitely for an experienced palate. But it’s more than that: This cigar takes a sophisticated approach to strength. There are so many intricacies with this blend, it’s like a new experience with every draw. I know you’re not supposed to play favorites but to me, this is the best release of the series,” commented Justin Andrews in a press release.
Diesel Crucible is set to hit stores on April 26. Distribution will be handled by Forged Cigar Company.
