At the 2021 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Padrón Cigars will release the Padrón Family Reserve No. 95. It’s a cigar that pays homage to family patriarch José Orlando Padrón who passed away in 2017. It’s a cigar that will only be available as an exclusive to attendees of the 2021 Trade Show. Information on the cigar was first reported by Cigar Aficionado.
The Padrón Family Reserve No. 95 will be a 4 3/4 x 60 rounded vitola – the first rounded vitola in the Family Reserve line which showcases some of the company’s oldest tobaccos. It’s the first Family Reserve release in seven years – going back to 2014’s Padrón Family Reserve No. 50. While there weren’t details announced, it is anticipated the Padrón Family Reserve No. 95 will be released in both natural and maduro. Both blends in the Family Reserve line feature 100% Nicaraguan tobacco.
The name No. 95 refers to the fact that 2021 would have been the 95th birthday of José Orlando Padrón.
The report goes on to say the cigar won’t ship until later this year and that pricing has not been determined. However, the cigar will be showcased at the 2021 PCA Trade Show which opens July 10th in Las Vegas.
