2021 was the second PCA/IPCPR trade show for Dissident Cigars since Benjamin Holt resurrected the brand back in 2019. Once again, Dissident Cigars was a part of the Oveja Negra Brands booth.
In 2020, Holt unveiled three new core offerings in his portfolio: Rant, Rave, and Tirade. Since these cigars did not have an opportunity to be showcased at a PCA Trade Show, the 2021 PCA Trade Show would provide that initial opportunity.
Rant features a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. It is available in one size – a 4 1/2 x 46 Petite Corona. Rave is an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapped blend that uses an Ecuadorian binder and a combination of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Pennsylvania Broadleaf fillers. Rave is available in one size – a 5 1/2 x 50 box-pressed Robusto. Finally, Tirade is a San Andres wrapped blend using an Ecuadorian binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. Tirade is available in one size – a 5 1/2 x 46 Corona Gorda.
In addition, the 2021 edition of Dissident Home was showcased. This is an annual release by Dissident Cigars. Like the previous years, Home 2021 consists of an Ecuadorian Maduro and Corojo barber-pole wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and all-Nicaraguan fillers in a 6 x 52 box-pressed Toro.
