J.C. Newman Cigar Company has plans to refresh its El Baton brand in 2022. In a video posted to the company’s YouTube channel, Drew Newman of J.C. Newman said the brand will be reenvisioned and will be reintroduced back to the market next year.
In addition, Newman confirmed a couple of items we reported by Cigar Coop’s coverage from the PCA Trade Show. The first is that the Black Diamond line will be revamped. “We’re gonna take it up a notch and take a luxury cigar and make it super luxurious with a new press, a new band, some extra aged tobaccos reblended into the filler,” commented Newman. Plans are for the revamped Black Diamond to be released in 2022.
Finally, Newman confirmed the Angel Cuesta, a cigar that Newman told the Cigar Coop team at the 2021 PCA Trade Show will be coming out of the El Reloj factory in Tampa Florida is on course for a 2022 release.
