At this year’s 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, United Cigars will bring a premium cigar brand from a company called CigarZona. United will be showcasing the Yaya, which will include one PCA Exclusive size in the form of a Short Robusto.
“This YAYA blend comes after three years of sampling tobaccos from the Cibao Valley,” said CigarZona owner Carlos Guilllermo in a press release. “My heart was set on a blend that could be appreciated at any time of the day. This is that blend and after resting the cigars for 6 months they are ready for the everyone[sic] to enjoy.”
Yaya comes from Taino mythology and is the great creator of existence. There is another brand in the United portfolio that has ties to Taino mythology and that is Atabey, who is the mother of the supreme being. The Tainos were native to indigenous people to the Carribean and Florida regions.
Production for the Yaya comes from the Tabacalera Magia factory in Santiago. The line features three regular production offerings: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), and Gordo (6 x 60) plus the PCA Exclusive Short Robusto (4 x 54). As for the blend, it features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Dominican Cubano binder and a filler blend featuring three unique Dominican tobaccos. Packaging will come in 15-count boxes. The Yaya will have a retail price between $8.99 and $9.99 for single or $134.99 to $149.99 per box.
While Yaya will be showcased at the PCA Trade Show, the company has started taking orders on the three regular production lines with the Short Robusto only available to retail partners that attend the show.
