Cigar Coop has learned that Crowned Heads and Ace Prime’s fulfillment and distribution agreement has come to an end. According to Crowned Heads, this split will take place on November 1st.
The distribution agreement was part of a strategic partnership between Crowned Heads and Ace Prime that the two companies entered into back in 2020. Under that agreement, Crowned Heads would handle sales and distribution for Ace Prime. In addition, production for several Crowned Heads lines is handled out of Ace Prime’s Tabacalera Pichardo, most notably the Mil Días, Juarez, and Le Pâtissier lines.
No party has given a reason for ending the agreement. In an email Luciano Meirelles of Ace Prime informed Cigar Coop that it was Ace Prime who terminated the agreement. A press release from Crowned Heads this morning was to the contrary, indicating it had terminated the agreement with Ace Prime.
While Cigar Coop has confirmation from both companies the distribution arrangement is ending, there has been no word on who will handle distribution for Ace Prime after November 1st or what this means for production of Crowned Heads lines out of Tabacalera Pichardo.
This is a developing story.

Whoa. Breaking up is hard to do; but sometimes, staying together is even harder…
Personally, I strongly prefer the ACE Prime products to the Crowned Heads products I have tried. But I’m just one guy commenting over the internet…

Charlie at HW expanded on the news slightly commenting that there appears to be some animosity based upon the 2 releases each claiming termination came from them .
Jon at CH said he spent 6 months resourcing new factories and an announcement would follow in time on where the brands are next being made
