Rocky Patel Premium Cigars consistently ranks among the busiest booths at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, and 2025 was no exception. On Day Three, the Coalition Team dropped by the booth, which was still alive with energy. A key highlight was the celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary, a milestone that owner Rocky Patel takes immense pride in. However, this year’s show marked a departure from past events. A decade ago, it was typical for Rocky Patel to unveil multiple new regular production lines. In recent years, though, he has scaled back these usual releases, and in 2025, only three new products were introduced, all designated as limited editions.
Another notable change in the Rocky Patel booth was the introduction of a slightly revised logo. The traditional RP circulus logo has been replaced with a design featuring a sunburst pattern around the initials.
One thing that wasn’t different in the Rocky Patel booth was the party atmosphere. Even on the final day of the trade show, live music was still going strong.
Thirtieth Anniversary
I’m not completely surprised that Rocky Patel opted for a Mexican wrapper for this cigar, given that this line has seen outstanding success over the past decade. The Thirtieth Anniversary showcases a double binder from Nicaragua, while the fillers are sourced from both Honduras and Nicaragua, with all components aged for a minimum of five years. This special release will be available in three box-pressed sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 52), Toro (6 1/2 x 52), and Sixty (6 x 60). Prices are set between $17.00 and $19.00. Each size will come in 20-count boxes, with a total production run of 10,000 boxes distributed among the three sizes for this launch.
The Rocky Patel Thirtieth Limited Edition Toro is a box-pressed cigar measuring 6 1/2 x 52. It is packaged in square tubes and features “rare and exotic” tobaccos, which Rocky Patel describes as one of his favorite blends. Only 1,000 ten-count boxes were produced.
Both Thirtieth releases are due later this year.
Year of the Snake
This is the second Chinese Zodiac cigar from Rocky Patel following 2024’s Year of the Dragon. The Year of the Snake features a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan Broadleaf binder. The fillers are from Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 1/2 x 52 Toro. A total of 6,000 ten-count boxes were produced. Pricing is $35.00 per cigar. In addition, Rocky Patel has introduced an alternate version of the Year of the Snake specifically for the international market with a different size and blend.
