At Total Product Expo (TPE) 2023, Alec Bradley Cigar Company announced a new Diamond Press cigar, the Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper. This may be one of the final projects by the Rubin family at Alec Bradley Cigar Company.
“My father Alan, brother Alec and I have been asked more times than I can count about making a Gatekeeper Diamond,” said commented, Bradley Rubin. “We’re humbled to have the opportunity to bring a cigar to market that we already know will be highly coveted.”
The Diamond Press is a cigar box pressed in the shape of a diamond. The cigar measures 6 1/4 x 54. The blend of the Gatekeeper Diamond Press consists of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers.
Gatekeeper was the second release by Alec & Bradley Cigars, the brand under Alec Bradley Cigar Company started by company President Alan Rubin‘s sons, Alec and Bradley. Originally the Gatekeeper was released in 2019 and was done at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza. In 2021, production was moved to the Plasencia’s Tabacos de Oriente facility in Honduras.
A total of 1,500 16-count boxes of the Gatekeeper Diamond Press were produced. Pricing is set at $12.75 per cigar
“We really enjoy exhibiting at TPE,” Bradley continued, “and I’m honored to present the Gatekeeper Diamond Press to such a large group of our tobacconist partners!”
Gatekeeper is the third cigar line to be produced in the Limited Edition Diamond Press shape, preceded by the Alec Bradley Nica Puro Diamond Rough-Cut and Black Market Estelí Diamond Press.
On February 22nd, it was announced the Scandinavian Tobacco Group would be purchasing Alec Bradley Cigar Company.
