La Aurora, the oldest factory in the Dominican Republic is getting ready to celebrate 120 years in business. As it has done with many anniversary milestones, the company is releasing a cigar to commemorate the occasion. This one is appropriately titled the La Aurora 120 Anniversary. The cigar is expected to hit retail stores in the spring.
La Aurora 120 Anniversary is described as a full Dominican Cibao Valley blend, paired with a Dominican Republic binder and wrapped in a Habana 92-seed leaf. It is packaged in dress boxes in four formats: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (5 1⁄2 x 54), Gran Toro (6×58), and Churchill (7 x 47).
“As we commemorate our 120th anniversary, we are proud to mark a milestone that will serve as a reference point for many years to come. Our commitment has always been with creating cigars that embody the rich, distinct flavors of the cigar world,” said Guillermo León, president of La Aurora in a press release. “The La Aurora 120 blend we have chosen to create is a product of teamwork to a degree we had never accomplished before, each one of us at La Aurora knows this cigar by heart and every leaf by name.”
