At Total Product Expo (TPE) 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Luciano Cigars launched a new line in its portfolio known as Foreign Affair. The project pays homage to the globalization of the cigar industry and its smokers. This is the first new release since Luciano Cigars rebranded, took over its distribution, and opened its new factory.

The project was developed by Luciano Meirelles, CEO and co-founder of Luciano Cigars, in conjunction with Mike Dounoulis (Luciano Cigars’ Regional Sales Manager & Co-founder of Astorian Cigar Co.) and Frank Cossio (Co-founder of Astorian Cigar Co.).

The blend consists of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a double binder of Nicaragua and Ecuadorian leaves, and fillers from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. The cigars come in four sizes (Corona, Rothschild, Toro Extra, Belicoso) – each released in 24-count boxes. Pricing ranges from $9.50 to $12.50 excluding taxes.

“There is something extraordinarily magical that occurs in the shared space of smoke, cigars, and people. It’s as if barriers are bridged, and guards lowered. The experience goes beyond language, culture, gender, or any sense of otherness. Varied pathways lead to this common ground, a sacred ambience where we can connect and understand that no matter how foreign we may be to one another, the humanity in us overwhelms our perceptive differences. Those once strangers to one another are brought together, under the influence of a worldly cigar,” commented Luciano Meirelles in a press release.
